Holding The Rain – A Short Film by Stewart Hannah
“Holding the Rain is a short silent drama touching on mental health, particularly obsessive-compulsive disorder and suicidal thoughts. My film was made to raise awareness and bring about conversation, as I strongly believe talking is the first step to recovery.”
I want to thank Stewart for letting me share this with all of you, it’s a short piece, but the impact it had on me was pretty intense. I hope some of you experience that same feeling when you watch it. I’ve been on that cliff a few times, metaphorically speaking, and I’ve needed that hand to reach out and help me step away. I’ve been lucky because that hand has always been there when I needed it. Thank you, Susan, Angela, Kathleen, Derik, Roni, Mom, Dad, Julie, and others for being that hand at various times.
