5 Essential Oils to Boost Your Energy in the Morning

Do you struggle with fatigue, lack of energy, or low motivation first thing in the morning? Whether you’re planning to get up for the gym, a day at work, or just a mountain of chores around the house, these essential oils will help.

You could add a few drops to your bath, apply directly to your skin, create a spray for your room, or inhale the oils. The possibilities are endless, and it’s a lot of fun to experiment with different oils to find a combination that works for you.

1. Lemon Essential Oil

Sharp, citrus oils are one of the best options when it comes to waking up and feeling energized. Lemon essential oil is a lovely option for spring and summer and can be used in an essential oil diffuser to fill your entire room with a fresh, lively scent. You can also apply lemon oil directly to your skin, which is a great option if you’re heading out straight after getting up.

2. Orange Essential Oil

Some people aren’t a fan of lemon, but that doesn’t mean they can’t benefit from all the goodness of citrus essential oils. Orange oil is a lovely option all year round, but it works particularly well in fall and winter, bringing up positive memories associated with the holidays. We don’t think so – and using peppermint oil is a great way to amplify this effect in the morning. Apply the oil directly to your skin, add a few drops to a diffuser, or inhale straight from the bottle. Since it’s so stimulating, peppermint oil is a great option if you’re planning vigorous exercise or you’ve got a busy day ahead of you. It’s also anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and has pain relieving properties, making it a good all-rounder.
