Somatic Disorders

Somatic Disorders are disorders where a psychological issue of some sort emerges in the form of a physical symptoms. The physical symptoms can be either intentional (as in Factitious Disorder) or unintentional (as in Conversion Disorder) and in the case of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, can impact someone else, typically a child.
