Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders are disorders where obsessions (intrusive thoughts) or compulsions (repetitive behaviors) in turn cause and relieve an individual’s anxiety. Often the obsessions are believed to cause the anxiety while the compulsions are believed by the individual to reduce the anxiety, but in reality both symptoms likely increase the individual’s anxiety.
