Depressive Disorders

Depressive Disorders are a classification of mental illnesses where a depressed or low mood is a primary symptom. These disorders can be severely debilitating and can last for months and can severely disrupt the lives of those suffering. For example, an episode of Major Depression lasts from 4-8 months on average, though this can be shortened with effective treatment.
