Get Mental Help, Inc. and Mental Health Matters occasionally collect private information from our users when they register, ask to receive emails, offer feedback, or submit content. This information is not shared with any other company or organization. At the current time, we have no interest in sharing any of our users private information with other groups. Should this change in the future we will contact individuals for prior approval before their information is shared.
GMH fully supports COPPA, which limits the collecting of personal data for anyone under the age of 13. In order to protect the privacy of younger users, at no time will information be collected from any individuals under the age of 18.
We will take whatever means possible to protect and ensure the privacy of our users and we recommend that our users do the same.
Individuals may choose to take part in discussion boards sponsored or run by GMH. These users have the opportunity to share their information publicly on those boards. If an individual chooses to share his or her private information on one of our public forums, we cannot and will not be held responsible for the individual's privacy.
It is our recommendation that users take such self-protections as they feel appropriate. We further suggest that you do not look to the private sector to ensure your privacy since the interests of those in the private sector may not align with yours.
We strongly urge all of our users to support national legislation and international treaties that define and protect the privacy of internet users.
Sincerely,
Sean Bennick
